Paintwrights was established in Australia in 1988.
A number of artisans collaborated and we now form a team of up to 10 specialists, each possessing different skills. We have signwriters, painters, artists, sculptors, gilders, plasters, and theatre and film designers. We come from various institutions ranging from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Sydney, to the renowned Van der Kelen-Logelain Institute, Brussels and we lecture at NIDA, TAFE and Julian Ashton Art School.
Over the past 13 years we've done jobs ranging from an opera in St Petersburg to a hotel in Kuala Lumpur to beautiful homes thoughout Australia. In addition to the design and execution, we offer a comprehensive maintenance service.
Most of our work comes through architects and designers. We take an initial brief, consider the requirements and constraints of the project and present a few design drafts. The selected design is developed and presented for final approval then executed. International clients may prefer panels or canvas to painting on-site.
